Nigerian media organisation OwnGoalNigeria say that Newcastle representatives were in Portugal to watch the Pacos Ferreira v  CD Feirense match.

Oghenekaro Etebo plays as a box to box/attacking midfielder for Feirense and they won 1-0.

Now 21, he moved from Nigerian football to Portugal in January 2016, having already made his debut for the national (Nigerian) side as a 17 year old.
On 7 January 2016, Etebo won the Most Promising Talent of the Year award at the CAF Awards.
Etebo played the full match and he is expected to move on this summer to a bigger stage than Portuguese league football.
OwnGoalNigeria report that as well as Newcastle, Leicester City have also show interest. Whilst Sevilla and Monaco are also said to have been watching the player.
