Obiano Charges APGA Members To Remain Firm

Governor Willie Obiano says the turbulence which APGA is presently undergoing is a tonic required to make the party stronger and advance it’s frontiers.

He was speaking when he received the Party’s National Working Committee who paid him a condolence visit at the Governor’s Lodge Amawbia.

The APGA NWC which just rounded off it’s meeting in Awka with all its members in attendance, was led on the visit by its National Chairman, Chief Victor Ike Oye.

Governor Obiano who expressed happiness at the focus and unity in APGA despite the turbulence, pointed out that the collective resolve of people of the party is being put to test and only the determination of members can thwart the devices of detractors.

He pointed out that the regime of APGA has favoured the state so much that it will be highly unpatriotic for any onye Anambra to think of floating any other political party in the state.

According to him, the guber war ahead is at the heart of the survival of APGA as a political party and the victory of APGA will go a long way to stamp it’s relevance in the nation’s political arena especially with the inroads it will subsequently make into other states of the country.

While urging party faithful to remain loyal to the party’s leadership under Chief Oye, Governor Obiano expressed optimism that the turbulence rocking the party will be over sooner than expected.

Thanking the NWC for comisserating with him over the death of his mother, the Governor assured that under his watch, the Party will continue to break new positive grounds.

Earlier, the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Oye said the Party has built a formidable and indefatigable house that will be difficult for any one to pull down, adding that of all the political parties in the state, APGA is the only one with a clean bill of health.

While informing the Governor that their meeting was peaceful, Chief Oye pointed out that the hundred percent attendance of members of the NWC to the meeting clearly points to the fact that the party is focussed ahead of the November 18th guber election in the state and no machinations of the opposition will prevail as the members are solidly behind him.

He expressed their condolences, urging the Governor not to mourn but celebrate as according to him, Late Mrs Christiana Obiano died a fulfilled woman.
